Looking forward to trying either Moab Entrada Bright or Hahnemühle Photo rag 308 on our Epson 9890. Both are pricy and don't want to buy both so any help in deciding which is best/better would be appreciated a lot. Hahnemühle is generally well regarded but I've seen the odd post that it's a "good place to start" and our local supplier praises Entrada thru the roof - hence the confusion on which to purchase. Also, which just feels nicer in the hand and has that saleable tactile thing happening?
Thanks in advance,
Hal55
I'm not sure I agree with that random "it's a good place to start" post. H Photo Rag is considered one of the better fine art papers with good archival qualities.
I use the HPR, but have not used the Moab, so cannot compare. Perhaps you can find a vendor who offers sample packs of both?
For that epson, don't overlook velvet fine art. People assume because it's an epson paper it's low end, but it's not. I could be wrong, but if memory serves me correctly the VFA has better archival ratings than the HPR (Wilhelm). Have fun printing!
