Today I watched a new b&h video that highlighted the new impact luxbanks. It's their softboxes. You can watch the same video here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74YtC2NuEH0 (external link)

The luxbank is offered in the same exact sizes as the photoflex litedomes:
Luxbank 16x22 vs. Litedome Small
Luxbank 24x32 vs. Litedome Medium
Luxbank 36x48 vs. Litedome Large
Luxbank 54x72 vs. Litedome X-Large

It has the same exact placements of the velcro tabs and loops.

The best part is... you save 10-20 dollars in cost compared to the photoflex litedomes.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't be surprised if those are just rebranded Photoflex boxes. I know they can't be because B&H sells Photoflex but the design and appearance is virtually identical. They're also using what looks like a modified version of the Photoflex quick release corners.

Since they seem to be the same size as the Photoflex boxes, the Photoflex grids will probably work even if there are no dedicated Impact grids.

If the price is right I wouldn't hesitate to buy (or try) those lightboxes.

Medium looks $10 cheap while large is $25 cheaper. Maybe worth it.
