Can you fit an iPad in the front pocket(s)?

Yes. Fits in the skinny pocket on the back best of all though.

Hmm didn't know that the 30 has two pockets in front. The 10 only has one large pocket, that fits iPad perfectly.

Fits in the back perfectly, front pockets are a bit tight for the iPad though.

Can't help you with pictures; bought a R10. The front pocket was made for an iPad!
I would hesitate having an iPad in the back pocket.
My R10 conforms to my body shape; there's give to it. It's becoming better and better the more I use it. Putting a slablet in the back pocket would keep that from happening.
My favourite shooter bag is my Domke F3/X that conforms beautifullly; so well I can't tell it's there! The Retro got better at that (2 weeks in Cape Cod) as I wore it more. It's still a big (heavy) bag to carry. So many features it's worth it.
(But I don't like the raincover!) We needed that while on the Cape.

Just mention the Domke because I like it so; don't know how I would carry an iPad in either of mine. Haven't tried...
