Bumblebee

This is a shot of a Male Pratorum Bumblebee that I took yesterday in strong sunlight whilst testing out a new Diffuser, A Lumiquest Softbox on a 430 EX Flash. (Hope I got the ID correct).

Thanks for looking and commenting, Much appreciated. Had to use Bubble Wrap and Kitchen Roll inside the softbox to soften the light to a reasonable level but pleased with the results.

Definitely looks like Bombus pratorum to me. Nice clear shot, but just a little oversharpened to my eye.

The purple flowers make the bees colors really stand out. Doesn't seem "too" sharp for me though. However the BG behind the bee is a bit distracting, but doesn't ruin the shot though.
