Why is this image so special to me? The dad and I are close friends from college, and I was later a groomsman in his wedding. And what makes it even more special is the fact that his son underwent major open heart surgery for a congenital heart defect when he was only two months old! Thankfully, he's recovering well, and he'll be celebrating a very special first birthday later this month!

We just finished up this very special session, and I still need to get to all the images, but I just wanted to share this one for now. Thanks for looking.

Dan...thanks! Really appreciate it.

Rand...thank you very much!

Sue...thanks! So glad you mentioned the band aid and fingernail polish! Right when we got together, the little girl proudly showed me her fingernails! And during some of the family shots, her little brother kept picking at her band aid and making her cry! Classic!

Hey Kristy! I always look forward to your comments! Thanks! We attended his birthday party (as guests) a few weeks back and had a great time.
