Great shots... that lens was on my list... until the new Sigma 150 was announced... I still may want a 100L someday...

Thanks Will! I'm looking at that sigma as well! But only when I go FF. 100 was already long on crop! :)

Hmm... I haven't tried HDR with CS5 yet. I should dig up some of my old shots and try them. I did do them with Elements and really liked it.

You should Mel it's much better than previous versions. No need for something like photomatix :D

That is the real Ken Rockwell don't lauph at him :p

I like the 85 1.8 but it donst have a red stripe....

Neither does your Sigma :p

And as the Julian was talking about before, there are some areas where the 1.8 is actually stronger than the 85L ;)

It's a great lens... and for $400 it's a sweet pickup :D

Yes I agree with everything said about the 1.8. Jake go see Kai's comparison video on digital rev. He says the same thing.

Well, the 85 1.8 is nice for the price and it's AF is faster than the 85 L. If you put the 85 L on a 7D and 5Dc/5DII, you'll notice the AF is very slow in low light. Now, when you put the 86 L on a 1D body, the AF is noticeably quicker.

The 85 L is something special but, there are a few that don't like it. If you have patience with the 85 L, it can make some nice images. :)
