i don't think the 365's are a fad so much as if your a n00b and you want to learn photography , do a photo everyday to learn your gear

obviously you don't need to do one but i see a purpose in it, pretty sure i shot everyday to learn digital , a n00b has to drive to do it, we are more laid back now

what the heck...what did you do to it? i would be pissed if kill an expensive cam in less than a year

1st year - almost 30k photos in 8 months
2nd year - 21,000 in 12 months

not sure how long I will hold on to the D700..but looking at it, I will just use this til it dies unless I wanna sell this for a huge hit.

it depends though, I wanna buy the D800 so I would have 2 bodies fitted with 16-35 and 70-200mm and then just replace the D700 when the D800 successor shows up sometime in 2016
