both Sigma 12-24mm + Tamron 28-75mm + $125 for their 16-35mm f/4
or + $500 for their 24-70mm f/2.8 :D

I told them I will fly to Manila personally to hand them the lens :lol:

which one though? according to what I've read, sand doesn't seem to be a problem on the Q10...

these particular ballheads I am looking at is rated at 11kg while the Markins is at 45kg :lol:

my setup will top at 5kg I think.


main complaint is it doesn't have the progressive tension of the Markins...so when you loosen it, camera immediately flops around

I am just checking options but everywhere I peek its Q3 M10 M20 :lol: followed by others a few Arka Swiss, Acratech and RRS... that tells me a lot. and well as usual JD is right on the mark :lol:

one thing that catch my attention to the Acratech design is the visible ball making it very easy to clean if something gets stuck. other than that I prefer the Q10 :lol:
