Because the vast majority of people that shoot under the lights, would fire a flash. Thats why.

aaah....to be honest I didnt realise you hadnt used a flash :o

You guys must have heaps better lights than our speedway tracks. I have taken shots at ridiculously low shutter speeds and cant get anywhere near that amount of exposure.

The wheels give it away every time..especially the hubs

This place is lit really well, but I also shoot at another track that isn't lit as well, and the flash stays off. Drivers know if they see me firing the flash, they are in Victory Lane, or we are under a red flag.

The driver saw this shot on facebook, and knows I don't pawn off crap, and has already ordered 3 8x10's.......because this shot shows he is carrying the wheelie, not the car bouncing.
