I was wondering if there was any household item I could use to clean the lense on my G6, including its accessory lenses also. The reason being that i think i lost the microfiber cloth that came witht the camera. Can anyone help?

Nothing in your house will be the right thing to use. I won't even suggest anything since you could easily do more damage than good.

Time to go to a camera store and buy some cleaning supplies. You should get some lens cleaning solution, some lens tissues, a blower, and a brush. Often this comes in a lens cleaning kit for $7-10. The blower in these kits will be next to useless, in my opinion, but it's something. Often they'll have nice big blowers for $4-10. (Giottos Rocket Blower is about the best.) A Lens Pen for $10 is a wonderful thing for the field, too. It's a little microfiber lens cleaner on one end and a brush on the other. Wonderful gadget.

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

Yea Bosman, mine came with a fiber cloth because I got it with a kit. Nut it seemed that I didn't look in one place and I found it. So thanks anyway!

Still grab a blower as Scottes has said, great to use them. Last thing you want to do is rub a lens clean with a bit of grit still on the lens.
