I don't think many people who own a Hasselblad are doing it for a hobby.

Me neither, but photography as a hobby is pretty pricey in comparison to, say, drawing or graphic design.

Actually, at least according to a midwest Hasselblad rep, the opposite is true. A professional photographer acquaintance of mine was looking at buying a digital medium format rig for his studio so he had a Hassey rep come out. According to the rep, most of the people he sells to are doctors and lawyers, which makes sense when you look at how much - or how little - most professional photographers earn (median was around 26K according to the last census).

It might be over sharpened or really just not processed correctly. It was my first time (and probably will be my last time) using the camera. I used Lightroom rather than the program that Hasselblad supplies - mainly because I know the LR interface and I didn't know how to use their program (called PHOCUS).

Remember too ... you are looking at a 100% crop. That's a 700 pixel square pulled out of a FIFTY MEGAPIXEL image.

The OP said no edit was done. You seem to contradict yourself dude.
If my Phase One had that kinda noise at 100 crop I would scream Bloody Murder.
But then I think this is norm for the Hblad { aka Fujiblad }.
100% Crop is always a good test but we render MF pics best in TIFF with
no sharpening required.
It might be screwed because of JPEG.
No mention of ISO.

For what it's worth ... I've been shooting the 5D Mark II since it was released nearly 3 years ago now (have two of them and a bunch of L glass) and also have a 1D Mark III. None of my cameras would have shown that much detail from that far away.

I'd take it.

Silly Dude, You cant compare FFDSLR to MFDSLR in image quality, workflow, or price ... but you can in wet dreams.
Thats why they are wet !
MFDSLR sensor is 3x larger, the workflow is 2x longer, and price (for the good stuff) is 10x.

Not again, Mf 100% against 35DSLR, when this will end, when Canon/Nikon produce a camera than can beat the latest best MFs in the world? I think i will die before that will happen.
