A few weeks ago I stumbled on a software/website that calculated the time and location of sunrise, moonrise, best sun illumination, moon illumination, etc. It projected all this as lines on a google map, based on Lat/Long, date/time, etc.

Unfortunately I was in a hurry and forgot the name of the program or to bookmark it. Now I cannot find it again.

Anyone have an idea what program I'm describing??

Thanks . . .

Try these two:

1.) Photographer's Ephemeris (google for the location)

2.) http://www.largeformatphotography.info/sunmooncalc/ (external link)

Follow-up . . . I downloaded the program (and installed the Adobe AIR required program) and it works GREAT! What a great planning tool!

TPE is awesome! I have it on my computer, my iPad and my iPhone!

Invaluable in my photography for determining sun position at airshows / airports and full moon rise Vs approach paths.
