Jun 05, 2011 11:45 | #18 I vote for the Canon 55-250IS for 200$ or the Tamron 70-300 VC for 450$, Or next would be the Canon 70-200 f4L for 550$ (amazing value for sharpness and build quality) CANON 6D - SONY A6000

Jun 05, 2011 12:22 | #23 Yeah I just took a glance, not bad at all. I've been searching around trying to find threads with this particular lens, like a thread just with pictures shot with this lens. Anyone by any chance have any good links ? Really leaning on purchasing this asap now Canon 40d

Jun 05, 2011 12:33 | #26 The 55-250 is about all you're going to get in that price range. I would recommend the Tamron SP 70-300 f/4.0-5.6 Di VC USD. It will run you about $400 after rebate. It's nicely built and has a metal mount and can take some great photographs. Jun 05, 2011 12:40 | #27 You can pick up the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM for about $500 used. It's a very good lens.

For $500-ish you can also consider the Tamron 70-300 VC and Canon 70-300 IS USM. You might also get lucky on a 70-200 F4L used for near that price. Taylor
