And now, since I'm not in the habit of entering contests or submitting photos for commercial-type publications.
For those of you who have photos of known subjects in the foreground, but some folks in the background that were just part of the "moment" but unavailable for a release signing, how would you approach something like this that requires a release? Just not submit it?
For example this is part of a series I shot of my daughter and her son/my grandson that does show the kind of conflict yet hope between a single mother and her teenage son:
The expressions were good but the guys in the background..
Now here is one where the guys weren't so "recognizeable" but the expressions weren't as good and the composition got thrown off...
So, I realize this applies mainly to "street" shooting and especially to scenes with a lot of people that can get into your composition -- is is just that such shooting doesn't really "fit" a contest like this where releases are required?
