I took some pictures today with my 7D and noticed that they all have this dot at left middle. I changed lenses and the same result. I used the camera yesterday and had no issues. Could this be dust on the sensor? If so, how do I get rid of this? Heading out of town in a couple of days and need to take the camera with me.

Any recommendation appreciated.

I am having the same problem, you can send it in for around $75 USD, but if you do a quick google search there is a product called sensor swabs that will allow you to clean it yourself. I think it's a back of 20, but google how to clean camera sensors.

I have a pack of sensor swabs coming tomorrow, dust is annoying..

Yeha, it's dust.
You better get used to it - it's a fact of life.
Give it a blast with a rocket blower and it will probably move.
For the time being, just clone it out.

Try a rocket blower or if you are in a bind, one of those suckers they use for babies noses will work.

How about trying a Rocket blower while in manual sensor cleaniung mode. The apparent large size of that dust bunny should be easy to blow it away. I would definitely blow it first before a wet cleaning.

Step one: use on board dust cleaner function
If step one doesn't work
Step two: use a rocket blower
If that doesn't work
Step three: Dry cleaning
If that doesn't work
Step four: Wet Cleaning

The rocket blower did the trick! I had the rocker blower sitting in the original package for couple of years. Believe it or not I have never needed it on either my 7D or my old XSi.

Thank you all for your help. This is why I love this board.

Cheers.
