The Boat Shed in Perth, Western Australia.

A beautiful landmark to capture.. Have wanted to snap this puppy for some time! Glad I got the time to do it :)

Great shot. I'm not usually too crazy about centered shots but in this case it really works. Exposure time might be a tad long as the water looks a little too unrealistic. Did you have to use an ND filter for this? Just curious.

My girlfriend said the same thing about the water, it was what I was aiming for.. a smooth sea. But each to their own I guess :)

No filters at all.. Just the nifty fifty, which actually has a lot of dust spots which I never noticed until editing this picture :D

nice shot. like the composition. you should grab an ND filter or go back towards dusk and get a longer exposure. like bbohem stated he didnt like the feeling, but i think it might also have to do with the fact that you are kind of in between on the styles. check out like the nd 9&10stop thread. plus maybe if you went at sunset you could grab a killer sky! The all blue works well too though. for the record i like the water being smooth like that, but even more so i think would look great for this shot.

Thanks for the info, I'm not great with landscaping shots, so was happy how this one turned out.. I didn't have my remote with me and once I hit 30 second exposures it was too dark and also the orange glow from the street lamps made the shed more orange than it's actual colour, which is why I chose this one.

This is actually at sunset, but sky is blue because I stuck a graduated contrast layer over it which turned it more blue than the original, but I liked it so kept it :)

Great shot, the water doesn't bother me, but I see what they mean.
I still have my 400D, can't let it go, I fell in love with it, A great little camera. well done
