Hi there, i've made a couple of videos using my 500d and 50f1.8.
Is there any good software out there to edit out camera shake? i've seen it used on youtube videos but i'm not sure how it's done.

Cheers
Jason

New cs 5.5 can also do it with warp stabilizer. Whatever you get, make sure it deals with the jello. Prodad is great.

final cut pro ships with SmoothCam, which does the job. Also, there's "Lock and Load" that has a few definable settings.

how?

In Vegas Pro 10 you just right click on the file in the time line and select Stabilize media. You then get a box up with various settings and sliders.
Im sure there is another way of calling that box up but i cant remember it.

Is warp stabilizer a feature of cs5.5 or a plugin?

I tried ProDad Mercalli demo and it was ok but I don't want to pay for the full version with just OK results

warp stabilizer comes standard with After effects Cs5.5. It also comes with Mocha AE which does a great job stabilizing too but is more work.

The thing with mocha is that it doesn't account for rolling shutter, which if you select in prodad, makes a big difference. I don't think mocha is even worth it for vdslr footage. Even if you stabilize the footage having everything warp looks awful. Something to check on the vegas option.
