Selling DPRK photos

Hi there,

I'll be travelling soon to Pyongyang and was thinking that photo material from N Korea should be relatively sparse.

Any idea if news agencies would be interested in buying such stuff? Any intelligent way to approach them?

I don't know anything about anything, but I thought I read that foreign journalism in DPRK is nearly forbidden?

There is a video series on YouTube about some guys who did that last year. They had to be quite sneaky about a lot of it. The handlers know where they want your camera to be pointing.

But to answer your question, you should find significant interest in whatever you bring back...but you're likely to have to bring it back before anyone will actually give you any promises.

There is a misunderstanding - the fact that I plan to maybe sell photographs I take while in Pyongyang as a tourist doesn't make me a journalist

I am aware of the strict regulations and I plan to bring back landmarks of the city - to maybe serve as photo support for articles about DPRK.
