Here is a pic I took this weekend of my niece. We were out at a stock car race and the sun was very bright but we were in the shade. So I exposed for her face (overexposed just a tad) and let the background blow out to white.

Please comment and critique. I'm a big boy, I can take it.

Very nice shot, though I'm not a fan of chopping off the top of the head (jmho).

Thanks Dan
I am usually not a fan of chopping off the top of the head either. Ill see if I have any similar ones where I didn't do that and post them. Thanks!

So I only have 3 shots of her. 2 with her head cut off like this and one w/o. But her eyes are closed in the one w/o. Oh well. Thanks for the comments guys!

Unless she has a special hairdo ontop of her head, there's no necessity to show all of her head. It is very common to compose as shown. There's a saying something like "nothing note worthy above the forehead" :)

Lovely capture, and like the composition. However, her eyes look to be over whitened, is this the case or does she have naturally bright eyes?
