Hi guys,

I was the best man at this wedding. Before anyone question why I took so many photos and if it's unethical for me to do so or was I in the way of the main photographer. The groom actually asked me to take photos if & when I was not needed to be in the photos. Reason was the 2 second shooters were not good. 1 with the p&s and the other with a rebel + 17-40mm. The bride later told me that she didnt get her getting ready photos taken or any ring, flowers, and cake details shots. And the main photog is her friend. Please check my blog. Feel free to C&C. Thanks

I did a similar thing. I was best man and the photographer. At the time I was also working the night shift and couldn't go to the rehearsal the night before. I got home from work the morning of the wedding, took a 2 hour power nap and was up and ready for the wedding. I didn't take any photos during the wedding. A friend of the family used my camera during the ceremony and I took over after wards. After all was said and done I had 2 hours of sleep in a 36 hour period and took some pretty good photos even though I was half asleep.

Great pictures BTW! Nice job!

Very nice! I was a bridesmaid in my sisters wedding two weeks ago and brought my camera. She paid for an hourly photographer who wasn't going to be there until after she was in her dress (???) so she asked me to have mine out before then. We emailed the photog and ran it by him, he had no problem with it at all, and we got some great stuff! Love being family at a wedding and not HAVING to shoot!
