I've been pretty much just a birdie photographer but figure I really don't need a lot more bird images. I recently had a request for wild flower shots at a state park. What is everyone's favorite wild flower lens and why? Right now, I'm getting by with my 100-400 and 18-55 IS lenses. They get the job done but I'm sure other lenses would do the job better.

I use 180mm macro, to completely blur out the background. 100mm is not so good at it. I have also used 100-400mm lens with extensions tubes for similar effect.

I suppose a person needs the whole set of tubes or will just one suffice most of the time? Are Kenko just as good as Canon?

I love my 135L for flower shots, its not a macro lens, but the creamy background blur makes for dramatic flower shots.

If I could only have one choice, it would be the 24-105. It gives me the ability to compose using different FL's and it has IS. Next would be the TS-E90 because of the control.

I had the same lens and it was really good for flowers. I do miss it and regret selling sometimes.

The 70-200 f2.8 IS II with the TC2III is a nice combo also:lol:
