1st photo shoot, Wife, natural light

These were taken on my 3rd day with my new DSLR 7D. Had a point n shoot before lol. I'm lovin' it. Natural light used since no lights yet, just camera body and 1 lens. Comments welcome. Thanks and this pops my cherry on any photography forum.

Looks good overall for a first shoot, I would have liked number two a little better if you wouldnt have caught that car in the background.

You have obviously been reading a lot and learning a lot.

Overall I think you did a really good job for a first outting. #1 isnt working for me because the WB seems a little off and the 'face stuck to the wall' isnt a pose that works IMHO, but you do seem to have the focus in the right place. #2 is really nice, Like the DOF you got - I didn't notice the car till it was mentioned. Light is good, amazing what you get with the sun at the right time of the day.
