Tried something new. I think that I like this "style" of wardrobe, want to work more of it.
C&C appreciated.

If you're going for the vintage look, I think you should remove the piercing above her lip. Just my suggestion.

10-4!
I also think that every single hair should be absolutely perfect considering the period.

couple things Eric... the expression just doesn't work for me. Not sure but she looks a bit too mad; lips are pursed just a bit too much. As noted, the hair and piercing could be different.

a beauty dish and a grid may have helped give a more vintage look.

Hmmm. I like the expression. IMO that's "potatoe, potato". The contact with the camera works for me. I do like the though of a gridded BD, although I'm not a HUGE fan of the flat light that comes with that. Maybe even a clamshell light? The piercing is a moot point. She likes it, even asked if I was going to remove it. I said no. The hair is just the hair. The MUA/H put it up for the first shots of the day, didn't change it. The point here, is that the look was supposed to be INSPIRED by vintage, not a vintage photograph. But, considering the opinions posted, I suspect that the thought was lost. Thanks for the input.

I think I'll revist the image, remove the piercing, and go after a more "vintage" pp solution.

Thanks again guys, that's how I learn.

Interested in the idea of a more vintage post process. Any suggestions in that area?

well Eric, the good thing is it only matter to you and the client. Cook it, clean it, and eat up the comments as you wish, and learn from them where you feel they were helpful.

Agreed Geoff. I admit that I really wasn't after a true "vintage" look, and Phil's input led me to believe that there is something to "vintage processing". Models expressions, well that's one of the true vagaries of shooting with amateur models. Hard to work with the ones that have only one expression. Honestly, I don't like the PCB BD that I have, so I do tend not to use it. I need to explore that avenue.
