60d autofocus points

My wife wants to upgrade our 30d. She wants something capable of shooting video.

I was thinking of going with the 60d but I had a quick question.

Given that the multi-selector is missing is it still possible to have a single button press to select a single AF point and another single press to return to all of the points?

While she is the primary user of that camera I use it sometimes too and I change AF selection points pretty often.

Yes totally. the 60D has a good feature too, you can customize some of the button to your liking.

The D-pad in the rear dial serves the same purpose as the multi-controller.

The only issue is that you can't set a custom function for the SET button, BC it becomes the center focus point selector. I don't miss the joystick that much, honestly. If you're a left eye shooter your nose might get in the way a bit. To go back to all focus points, just hit the AF button next to the *.

I confess that I strongly dislike the joystick/multi-selector on my 30D. No doubt it's my own clumsiness that's to blame, but I'm unable to control it well.
