For the main shot posted, i had a flash in a matte box to the right of subject to illuminate the background. and a flash to the left of subject in a soft box light up subject as well as lightly illuminate the logs.

You are absolutely right! But i was so anxious to use my new wireless triggers on my lights i had no choice but to use my brother. But a little boy would be great! :]

This is my first time ever using flash in any of my pictures, majority of the time i use either natural lighting or house lamps. So i posted these photos on here to see how well i did. :]

I like them. And I agree with RPCrowe, get a younger subject to really make these stand out. My only nitpick is on the trigger finger. Trigger control, finger stays out of trigger guard until ready to fire. (Safety first!)
