Digi-photo newbie, just bought a SD4500 IS

Hey guys! I just picked up a compact for travel & food blogging, a SD4500 IS. So far I dig it! I'm new to the camera game but very interested to learn. I'm curious if there are any (somewhat) style-specific or Canon-compact specific guides that I could buy to get me started? Something with the basics of when to use which settings, terminology definitions, etc. Canon for dummies or something of the sort

There are no real shortcuts.
Start with reading the owner's manual.
It explains all the camera's functions and settings.
Then go with trial and error, or enroll to a photography course.

Before all that - put the camera on automatic and fire away.
It will do fine in most cases. Canon have worked to make it so.
