You don't say where you'll be staying or what transportation is available to you. We spent a month on the island in an RV and stopped many times in our trip. The west side from Rose Blanche to L'Anse aux Meadows has many good places for scenery and I could not list them all. The boat tour in Gros Morne NP is good, requires some hiking. Lobster Cove was very scenic, with a beautiful lighthouse. In fact, almost every cove along the west coast is scenic, and every small town has something to offer. We found waterfalls, great sunsets, wildlife (fox, moose, caribou, etc), colorful boats/marinas/docks/lobster traps, unusual rock formations. Spend some time with Google, and check out the NL photos in my Canada gallery to get some ideas. I'll try to answer specific questions.

Thanks Stan - I mentioned we will be on the west side - pretty well tip to tip but not as far down and inland as Rose Blanche.
Great shots you have there BTW....already helps.
We will probably spend more time around St Athony (Quirpon) for the whales and bergs....If I don't see/shot a moose I am NOT coming back.

We saw quite a few moose, so you should, too. Our summer was a bad one for icebergs, didn't see even one. We took a very successful whale tour out of Nova Scotia, can't comment on NL whale tours. Hope your trip is a good one, rain can be a real problem at times.
