I'm not taking it out in a downpour...
But to get a few pix in the rain I'd like to put a rain cover in my bag.
What do you G-folk use to protect and shoot?

I have used an improvised plastic cover a couple times. What makes this easy for me is that I have a lens adapter tube and a Haze filter in place most of the time. Simple cut a 2-inch or slightly larger hole in a plastic storage bag, and tape the bag around the adapter tube. Of course you can try the same with other material such as printer covers. I think having a loose-fit rather than form-shaped would be better -- less chance of accumulating warmed water vapor.

I like CarloY's idea, since I've used zip-lock bags to bring my G cameras along in my kayak. I've got the Canon underwater case for my G9 (but not my G11), so I could use that in a downpour, but if it's raining I generally just bring along an umbrella. I don't shoot much in rain, so not much help really. But, I'll keep checking other's suggestions for future use.

Dennis

Yes, I went out late last winter when an ice storm was changing to rain and just used a plastic food bag.
Just wondering how many people go that way or if there's something better.
I'm going to take the G hiking in the Adirondacks and since the weather can change quickly I want to be prepared.
