Little Shroom

Howdy folks,

A teeny little mushroom/toadstool that I found in the park next to my flat this morning. I am pretty new to all this, but I love macro shots and being able to see the 'unseen' world. Unfortunately a proper macro lens is a little out of my price range right now so this shot was taken with extension tubes - EOS 500D, Canon 18-55mm lens + 36mm extension tube - to be precise.

I'd love to get some of those really detailed shots I see on here where you can see the compounds in insect's eyes, but I think I need to invest a bit more money to achieve that lofty goal! Right now I find it hard enough to focus and get a decent DOF for most shots!
