I recently did a wedding with a bald guy. Sometimes I didn't have a problem, other times it was creating a good MrClean shine! What do you recommend for bald people? I tried killing the sun down more in this picture but the background was too dark and I didn't like it. So when I lightened the background and added some fill this is what came out. Nice shot but that shine is pretty high. On a picture like this is this acceptable or is this too much blown out?

Why you have him standing with sun falling directly on his bald head? Move him just a bit and your problem is solved unless I am missing something.

Is that light from the sun or your flash? If its the sun, maybe turn him to his right some so it only hits his head a bit for some rim light. The rest of the picture looks well exposed to me.

i'd say if the the sun is indeed hitting his left side hard, I would see what it would have looked like with him turned to the right a little bit (left for him i suppose), like jakahearts said. maybe, with the sun slighty more "broad" you could get more detail in the center of the black jacket to come out too and therefore loose less in PP when managing his cranium.

still a nice pictures though!

Even if he had hair, his face would be too hot. Change locations.

Yup. The direct sun isn't helping you here. In the shade, with some fill, would have been better. As it was (and as you found out) the only way to knock down the brightness on the skin would have meant that the BG was pretty dark. The skin just needed to be less illuminated.
