I've read about people setting their camera to shoot raw and medium jpeg at the same time. Which for me mostly web work would be great! I am wondering if the G6 can do this, or is this a dsl thing?

You can shoot JPG all day long for "normal" shots, and when you realize you have a difficult exposure or a shot that might need additional work, you can save it as a RAW without going into a series of menus.
