Hey all,

Here's a web series I'm currently shooting exclusively on the T2i/550D called "Haywire (external link)".
It's a lot of hard work but we're having a good time shooting this thing AND we've actually won a couple of awards so the hard work is paying off.

Please check us out here.

and please feel free to leave comments on our page (no sign up necessary) to tell us what you think of Haywire.

Thanks,
Lu

This is awesome. Great concept with lots of potential I have watched the 1st three episodes and plan to watch the rest. The acting is probably the weakest point at times, but that is nitpicking since I have seen far worst acting on Sci-Fi Channel. Inspires me to use my limited equipment more.

Yeah, it's better than most of the stuff on Sci-Fi for sure!

No bragging list - I just rent whatever the job requires.

What lens did you use, and SD card? I am a novice here, but do you have any general suggestions? I was surprised at how good the video quality is.

Thanks Arty!

Initially we started just by using the kit lens which was an 18-55mm IS lens which was fine but then we upgraded to a 20mm prime and a 50mm prime. Prime lenses are much faster and sharper.

The memory cards we use are a 16GB Patriot and a 16GB Transcend (both are class 10). I can give you a ton of suggestions but for now it may be best just to point you to a website that has a lot of great info. Like this one

Good Luck Arty and thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. I have primes - the 35f2 should be good for this purpose. I'll take a look at the site you suggested.
