The first rule of voting. Please please please leave a comment when you vote. This contest really comes alive when people just drop in,say hi and perhaps tell us why they voted for a particular photo. It makes the contest more fun and gives really great feedback for the photographers.

Other stuff:

  • The poll will remain open for 7 days.
  • You can vote for three photos. Your vote will be public
  • Please don't vote for your own photos!
  • As before there will 1st, 2nd and 3rd place positions.
  • No prizes, sorry
  • I will be announcing the names (aliases) of the people who win. Send me a PM if you don't want your name to be announced.
All the photos can be viewed here (external link)

Good luck everyone!!! :D

Although I voted for three my favorite is #6 (Water In Motion).
I loved the composition and the feeling of water refreshment.
The statue comes to “life” from the divine gifted water!
Congrats to the photographer!

My favorite, (besides my own) is #35. I didn’t realize a camera has the same memory of motion as our eyes. I’m going to have to try a shot like that sometime. Another thing I see from the auto entries is that it’s difficult to convey the feeling of motion/speed of a race car. As my weekend ride is a slightly modified Mustang GT ;) , I’m well aware of the stresses the chassis goes through coming out of a tight corner.
Good job all who entered, and may the best shot win.
Robert

Hey Guys,

#1 Classic motion, this image screams motion to me and i love it - it looks great and the skill to get this image is something I aspire towards...

#24 Loads of feel of motion, definitely something i'd would associate with motion - great capture and timing

#27 Loved the feel of this image, brings back memories of sticking head out the window and the wind blowing so hard that you cant open your eyes properly and u can't breath properly !!! I know most will know what i mean :)

There were other very commendable images that gave across the feel of motion, however the above three for me were the best examples of motion on that web page.

Great Stuff, look forward to the next one :)

I voted for only one of them cause I feel it makes the difference. I very much enjoyed the cinematographic look of that photo. The subject is still, yet the image is moving. Colours are great, composition and exposure as well, and this image tells a story.

I've voted for 27, 9 and 11

27 because I love the effect of the blurring of the trees and I feel it says "motion" best of all of them to me

9 because it is a very clever shot and although the main focal point of the shot is stationary there is great juxtaposition between that and the speeding train

11 just because it is a great capture.
