A friend of mine is venturing into the event (primarily wedding) planning business, and for practice, I am going to take some shots for her. She had an idea in her head for a few over the weekend, but since she was in the bridal party, and my fiancee was in the bridal party, it was way too busy to get much of anything done. Not to mention I only brought the kit lens with me, no tripod, etc :D

Resources are limited, some continuous lighting, not much in the way of flash, kit lens plus the 50mm 1.8.

I was thinking I could get some shots of:
* centerpieces
* seating card table
* fine dining
* chandelier
* archways with floral decorations
* flowers

Any ideas for other kinds of shots I could take that don't involve an event? We may be able to get some friends in a tux/cocktail dress, but I'm not 100% on that. Thanks!

Happy people dressed for a wedding?
Your client in consultation with an attractive couple?
An elaborate seating diagram your client produced?
A menu with many hand corrections/changes?
Women in a lounge chair (because her wedding is in good hands)?

If she wants to be seen as a professional she will be depending on you for professional shots.

Really dig those ideas, thanks!

She absolutely will be, luckily I have some backup in my future FIL, who does some really impressive work. He doesn't take these kinds of shots, but he'll be able to help guide me through some lighting/setup options.

I did get the chance to take a few good shots over the weekend:

But I do need to get more for her. She's also giving me an excuse to pop into adorama and rent some lenses to see what works for me :D
