This past weekend, my wife and I were invited to go to Three Rivers, TX with old friends to visit noted Texas historian, Kurt House and family and photograph the Mission they are building on their ranch. Kurt is well known for his knowledge of early Texas history and is the author of Hand Forged for Texas Cowboys (external link). Kurt is also an avid gun collector and showed us some of his prized collection of handguns, rifles and shotguns going back to the colonization of Texas. For dinner, we headed out to the ranch and Mission Sin Casa which he is building as a retreat in honor of his parents. An authentic 18th century Spanish mission in every detail, I couldn't resist taking a few shots at sunset for his enjoyment. You can learn more about Kurt and Mission Sin Casa here (external link) and my friend John has an excellent post here (external link) on his real estate blog.

I did a little HDR tweaking using Topaz Adjust. Easier to use than Photomatrix.
