If you have one of these and they become flacky here is something to check out.

Here is what mine was doing:

The little red light comes on when you plug it into a flash unit (with power on) just fine. Then after a shot it would go out. I could remove the battery pack, slide it back in and all would be good again for a bit.

Well I looked into it and I noticed one of the contacts wasn't springing back right.

So I took the unit apart and noticed that the contact was hung up behind a ridge that is molded into the bottom of the casing. So I trimmed that a bit and Bob is your uncle...

Just FYI.

Good to know. I just ordered some zebra flash once and I think they are same or very similar. I will look in to that to make sure they work fine. Thanks for the tip.

Right on time Harley. I have the exact same issue. I was about to call it quits with this unit and purchase the Canon version. I will check mine for lack of contact, too.

Hope this works out for you. I already go my refund from Lon, but my $20.00 pack off ebay was been kicking some arse for the past 2 months non stop. Go figure a $20.00 pack is working, hahahaha lmao.
