OK guys, help me choose one out of the two options

1. I am about to buy a 135 f2 with my extra $1000 that I have saved. I already owned a 70-200 f4 IS. This option I would own 2 lenses

2. Sell my 70-200 f4 IS then use the extra $1000 and go get 70-200 f2.8 IS II. I know this option would cost me $300 extra, but that is not a big deal.

Please keep in your thoughts that as of now I own 16-35 II, 24-105, 35 1.4 and 50 1.4. and in the about a year or so I will own 85 1.2 II. I shoot mainly portrait, my kids play sports and family around the house, kids birthday. A wedding here and there (I am not getting pay for the weddings). Thanks

with all those lenses i think you're better off buying a 5d2.

but if it had to be between the 2, i'd go for the 70-200 mk2.

Thanks for the respond. I have thought about 5d2 as well, but I want to wait and get 5d3 as soon as it out. I need fast fps for sports.

70-200mm MKII would be the way to go. Cause you shoot sport right? I think versatility adds a lot to it. And 135L isn't sharper than MKII, it's only AS SHARP AS MKII gets. It's such an hassle to switch lens to 135L if you decided to go inside after you are done shooting outside with your 70-200mm F4 IS. Why not just combine two into one?

It's actually weight you may need to consider. I tried a MKII before. It is much heavier than F4 IS and Non-IS. 135L is light in comparison to MKII. So I don't know what do you think about that.

+ 1 If the weight is going to be a factor, consider a mono pod.

Weight might be a factor, but then carrying 2 lenses around with a mono pod is a another factor. Do you guys think I should just get 85L 1.2 ii already to compliment my 70-200 f4 and forget about 135?

I'd go for the 70-200 f/2.8 II. It'll be heavy but if you are strong like ox, then it'll be no problem.
