Hey guys im selling up my current lens lineup and wanna put the money towards some new gear, im gonna keep my 7D but at the same time was thinking maybe to switch to a 5DII and get a 60D as my second shooter... which would leave me with about £3800

What would you go with? Keeping in mind im still gonna be sooting some wedding stuff throughout the year?

Ideas would be great :)

24-70 instead of the 24-105. IS doesn't do much on a faster lens anyways, I like the 24-70mm with f2.8 better!

17-40 instead of the 16-35! For a wide angle lens that shot landscape, don't really need f/2.8. Unless u use it as a walk around lens but in this case the 24-70 will do a better job! Not to mention the 17-40mm is half the price of the 16-35mm

I was thinking of the 16-35 for wedding, seen some great stuff taken with this lens for wedding and love the wide angle!

If you are doing outdoor wedding pictures then the 16-35mm will be very nice to capture the landscape around the couple! But if u are shooting indoor in a banquet, i usually see photographer using the 24-70mm f/2.8 L, so as my own wedding photographer!

It makes no sense to have a 60d and a 5d II. If you want FPS, keep the 7d, buy a 50d, or get a 1d mark ii.

Why do you want a 60d again?

My opinion -- sell the 7D, get a 1DII and a 5DII. Would make money on the sale of the 7D+grip for the 1DII. Of course, that would precipitate selling all of your crop lenses, and would give you less reach than the 7D provides.

What are you finding lacking in your current setup? You could move to the 70-200/2.8 IS for ~1100$ (sorry, I don't really work in pounds). As for top wedding choices:

Another flash, off shoe triggers, umbrellas, stands, and other lighting equipment. Sharp lenses are nice, but nothing sets you apart from the competition from a non-photographer's standpoint as creative light and composition.

Sigma 85, Canon 16-35 (or Nikon 14-24), Zeiss 35-70 or Canon 24-70 (I personally hate this lens, but if you move to full-frame there aren't a lot of options), and a 24 or 35 prime would cover you for most shots. The TS-e 45 is pretty popular for engagement shoots.

If i go full frame it will only be for a 5DII as i still do alot of video work and would lose it if i went for a 1DII

Ideally id love to go with...

- 5D II, 7D

- 16-35 II, 24-70, 70-200 II, 24L, ∑85, 135L

But i really dont know if i could stretch my funds that far, as i was hoping for some new flash equipment also for the weddings :)
