I tried to attach it to the lens and couldn't turn it into the locking position. Does anyone have any comment on this or experience with this?

Jun 11, 2011 15:40 | #2 Update: I should have waited to post my question. I tried the extender one more time & carefully used a little more pressure & the Extender locked into place perfectly. It seems that the rubber gasket for weather sealing was just making the fit a little tight. The lens works very nicely, all exif data communicated correctly, etc. This may be a usable combination for me.
