I was able to work with a young(er) family today and it was pretty fun. I didn't think I was capturing what I wanted during the session but somehow I actually did when looked through the photos. I had an uneasy feeling that all I was taking were crap photos. There are quite a few I really enjoyed, though. Here area few of them.

These are wonderful! No need to worry anymore! You captured some really nice expression, especially in #2. Isn't it the worst feeling in your stomach when it starts creeping in that every shutter press is coming at the wrong time? Not in this case, though!

yah, and while they are interacting you are just shooting away and then you get to the end just to take a look at histogram stuff and the last few you scroll through are really messed up. I just didn't "feel" it the whole time but there are some of my best "family" shots in their set.

Owell, I guess it just goes to show that if you know your camera/settings/look you are going for to just go for it and don't rely too much on what a little 2-3" screen gives you as feedback.
