So today was my college graduation. Before the ceremony I giftedy father a canon FTb with 50mm f1.8, identical to the one he had on college that both him and mother have fond memories of and with. Along with a stack of black and white prints on the dinning room table. Then, after the commencement ceremony I went to have some beers with one of my best firends on the swim team.

Then went to dinner with the parents. I got up to go pay for drinks for my father and my self( as I was already pretty toasty) and there is a wrapped up box on my chair.

I just got a new 70-200 f2.8 IS2. I was totally shocked and speechless(I couldn't even manage an intoxicated reply). Finally I managed a 'thank you.'

OMFG a 70-200mm IS2!!!!!!!

Can you feel me glaring at you from afar?

I didn't even rate a card from my parents :(

Either the 4f IS or the f2.8 IS MK II would make a great gift. Both are outstanding. Congrats to the grads!

Congrats for you and myself!
I got my TS for passing those bloody test. Glad that we'll never study the subject we hate (history, physics, chemistry) anymore.
