My wife and I went to CA for vacation this year. It was my first time, so I was completely enamored with the scenery. You don't get views quite like that in IL. We flew into San Fran and then drove down Hwy 1 to Morro Bay. Next we drove back up the coast to Big Sur and went hiking. After that we went to Monterrey/Carmel and then up to Sonoma/Napa.

Here are a few of the shots that have been edited. I was proud of myself. Only took 1500 pictures in the 10 days.

Nicely done. The AYES have it.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.

California is amazing indeed. We have been several times over the last few years. Next time out you need to stop by Yosemite National Park. I consider it heaven on earth.

All great shots. Really like the mood of the Alcatraz pic.

Wow, you are lucky to have a great travel agent who can predict which week will have those dramatic clouds,... and a wife who is patient enough to let you set up those great shots.

Lucky for me they are one in the same  My wife planned the entire trip while we were snowed in this past winter.
