Ok, camera shop on strip by harrahs that has a 70-20 2.8 is II for 2k. I ha net tried to haggle with him yet, but he has a bunch of canon, Nikon, sigma stuff. It's an actual shop in front of harrahs. So, should I buy it or is the shop questionable as far as warranty from canon? Ideas? If it safe, I may ask him if he'll take 1800 or less. Idk.

Ideas?

Seems questionable as it's currently $2,450 at B&H. Tourist town, on the strip, heavy discount, tread lightly.

If you are taking it over the border...I would say no..coz duty and tax will be applied to it.

Went back in to ask some questions and when I told him to pull it out of cash he pulled the non is out. The is II he said was 2750.

Oh well, hopes dashed.

they quoted me $300 for a 580EXII last year, they just got me all excited but they corrected themselves and tried to sell me a 430EXII for that price.

Bait & switch. 2700 for the "II" is way high. 2000 for the non IS is way high. I'd stay away. Can you trust anyone on the strip of Vegas?
