I have sold all my DSLR gear, now I'm going to buy a digital point and shoot. I have read alot about the G12...is it really as good as all the reviews say. Please help convince me to go today and get it. I want to hear from actual users.

However coming from an slr you are either going to have to learn what it does well and what it doesn't or you will be very frustrated. I can guarantee though that there is far more than enough things it does well to keep you entertained and producing good photography for years to come. Have fun
