Hyacinths are spring-flowering bulbs with long, narrow leaves that are folded lengthwise. Hyacinths are highly fragrant flowers that bloom in dense clusters.

Most hollies have glossy, prickly foliage. The plants are dioecious, meaning there are both male and female plants.

Rhe name Rhododendron comes from the greek words "rodon" which means "rose" and "dendron" which means "tree", hence Rose Tree.

Bleeding-heart (Dicentra sp.) plants are distinctive and striking additions to shady, woodland areas of the yard. They are perennials, so their charm is available year after year.
