Lighthouse in my kitchen. My family used to own that little island across from it where they would bring an ore ship to safety during a storm. That's my daddy's home territory.
Very interesting indeed - how long ago was that and do you know who owns it now?

Nice shot. Like the fog wall behind it. Split rock must be one of the most photographed spots in MN, along with the lift bridge. I must have a couple hundred from over the years myself. I always wanted to get one of it at sunrise, but I never seem to be able to get there in time.
I never seem to get anywhere up the shore for Sunrises in the summertime, its just too d@mn early for me. I go out for sunrise shoots far more often in the fall/winter/spring - Split Rock is on my list this fall. Glad you liked it.
