I just wonder how much demand there will be when the 20mm f1.7 is so close in usage and likely less than half the price (the regular m4/3 one is $1000-ish).

I am still waiting for someone to make a killer portrait prime for m4/3.

Hmn, this IS true....And I am a little disappointed that theres no distance scale or ANYTHING on the lens....

adorma is doing pre-orders. $599.

Samples seem to make it look really nice: google translated from omuser (external link)

$600 seems like a great price for a high end f1.4.

wow. I wonder if it'll be as nicely built as a non panasonic branded leica lens.

No, they are kind of like Sony Zeiss lenses. It's still a Panasonic made AF lens, with a Leica-approved optical formula.

it's about on par with their four-thirds version, just smaller.

Wow. I think lots of m4/3s enthusiasts were expecting this to be north of $1k. I'm guessing availability will be super tight out of the gate.

Not for me. I got into MFT to experience alt glass, especially c-mount. Lot of neat stuff out there waiting to be slapped onto a MFT body.

However, I'm sure there are lots of people out their dying to get one...but I'd rather have this:

The Voigt is a super lens... if you dont need AF! If you do this lens will probably be awesome as well.
