One of my favourite landscape & travel photographers is David Noton who does a lot of writing for the press. Have a look at his website for his photo essays and dispatches. His books and DVDs are very good investments too.

Consider attending the 2nd annual Western North Carolina Foto Fest in September. It will be held in Black Mountain at the Montreal Conference Center. The event is hosted by Bill Lea and Kevin Adams, two great landscape and wildlife photographers from NC. The guest speakers are Tony Sweet, Carl Galie, and Sandy Dimke .

There were over 200 photographyers attending at the first Foto Fest held last year in Brevard. We had a blast.
