My 50D's auto focus has stopped working on my Canon 10-22mm. My other lenses 24-105mm, 70-300mm, etc work fine on this body. I checked the 10-22mm on a friends body and it worked fine, but for some reason it has stopped focusing on my old 50D body. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Canon answer... " Sorry we can't determine what is wrong with the camera without inspecting it ourselves. You would have to send it in and have our techs look at it. Would you like me to Schedule your lens for a repair?"

Try the following :
- Remove the battery out from the 50D
- Reset all the settings to default on the 50D including the custom function
- Remove grip if any
- Try different battery
- Clean lens contact with alcohol
- If all else fail, send to Canon
