Was attending this black tie preferred party and later in the evening I got my camera out of the car to take some of these.

Criticism and suggestions to improve is greatly appreciated.

They are solid shots, the exposure could be a bit brighter and the white balance seems off.

Agreed. The compositions and captures are all pretty good, but they do seem underexposed and the first few seem a bit on the cool side.

ditto. They are very flat. Need a bit of a boost, levels and color correction.

Thanks for the Criticism. I did try and do color correction and exposure fixes for some of them but I don't think they updated on the thread.You can see it if you go to the gallery link. If someone is bored and would like to take one of those photos to show me how you would change it don't let me stop you:)

Could do better with a larger file, but here is one.

In CS5 - Shadow/Highlight adjustment opening the shadows a bit, a Curves adjustment, and a Photo filter adjustment set to a warming filter.

Then the sky gets blown out. tried to select just the people and raise the exposure on them. only did a few and they are not showing up on this thread. Thanks for the comment.

D Thompson- ok that is slightly better then mine. :lol:
